About this program

InvoiceNag is a SaaS platform used by independent contractors and small businesses (primarily in the construction and remodeling industry) to send transactional SMS invoice payment reminders to their end-customers (homeowners and property owners).

Every message is tied to a specific unpaid invoice, identifies the contractor's business name, includes a secure payment link, and provides STOP opt-out instructions. Reminders stop automatically when the invoice is paid or the customer opts out.

How customers opt in (double opt-in)

InvoiceNag uses a two-step (double) opt-in flow before any invoice reminder is ever sent. No customer ever receives a reminder without first explicitly confirming consent via SMS.

  1. A contractor adds the customer's phone number to InvoiceNag (typically after the customer has provided it for billing).
  2. InvoiceNag immediately sends a single confirmation SMS to that number:

    [Contractor Business Name] added you to InvoiceNag for invoice payments/reminders. Reply YES to confirm, STOP to opt out. Msg & data rates may apply.

  3. If the customer replies YES, their status becomes confirmed and they will start receiving invoice payment reminders for that contractor's invoices.
  4. If the customer replies STOP, NO, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, QUIT, or END, their status becomes declined and no further messages are ever sent.
  5. If the customer does not reply, no invoice reminders are sent. Their status remains pending indefinitely. Reminders stay queued but blocked.

Message types

This program sends transactional invoice payment reminder messages only. It does not send marketing, promotional, or non-transactional content.

Note: One-time passcodes used for contractor account login are handled separately via Twilio Verify and are not part of this A2P 10DLC program.

Message frequency

Typically 1–8 messages per invoice, spread over up to ~90 days following a fixed reminder cadence (Day 0, 3, 7, 14, 21, then monthly follow-ups). Reminders stop the moment the invoice is marked paid. Message and data rates may apply.

How to opt out

Reply STOP to any InvoiceNag message at any time. You will be immediately unsubscribed and will receive no further messages from any contractor on the InvoiceNag platform.

We also accept UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, QUIT, END, and NO as opt-out keywords.

Privacy and data sharing

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing with subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties. See our full Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

Compliance

InvoiceNag complies with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), the CTIA Messaging Principles and Best Practices, and all applicable A2P 10DLC carrier regulations. Contractors who use InvoiceNag are also contractually required to obtain consent from their customers before adding them to the platform; the double opt-in flow described above provides an additional independent layer of consent capture.
